Il Toronto Star sta lanciando il primo giornale Usa scaricabile gratuitamente.

Si chiama Star PM e sarà disponibile per il download tutti i pomeriggi dalle15,30 alle 16,15, a partire del 5 settembre.

Il giornale – otto pagine, gratuito – sarà un Pdf in formato A4, per consentirne una stampa agevole, è coprirà i tradizionali argomenti di un quotidiano del pomeriggio:  ultime notizie, sport e servizi dai principali quotidiani canadesi.

Saranno disponibili per il free download anche quattro pagine speciali dedicate allo sport, costume e cultura giovanile.

Star PM somiglia al G24 del Guardian. A giugno il Guardian è stato il primo grande giornale britannico a lanciare una edizione del pomeriggio scaricabile. Ha una foliazione di cinque pagine aggiornate ogni 15 minuti durante tutto il giorno e può essere stampato dai lettori.
