Canada: in buona salute l’ industria dei giornali

Il lodo della CNA I giornali canadesi sono rimasti completamente indenni dai problemi finanziari che hanno colpito la stampa Usa. Lo rileva la Canadian Newspaper Association (CNA), spiegando che i ricavi nel 2007, incluso il settore online, sono calati soltanto dello 0,8%, con una diminuzione della pubblicità sul cartaceo del 2,4%.

All’ opposto i ricavi dell’ online sono aumentati del 29% rispetto al 2006.

La diffusione dei giornali ha segnato un leggero calo, meno 1,2%, dopo la crescita dell’ 3,8% registrata l’ anno precedente.

Come negli Usa i ricavi dell’ online in Canada continuano a crescere, con la differenza però che in Canada essi compensano le perdite della stampa.

I ricavi dei giornali Usa furono vissuti allo stesso modo in passato, ma come rileva l’ ultimo Rapporto della Newspaper Association of America (NAA), non è più il caso.
