Mentre Metro International annuncia risultati in attivo per il secondo trimestre dell’ anno (476.000 dollari), dovuti soprattutto alle performance delle sue edizioni in Svezia e a Hong Kong (come spiega anche un comunicato dell’ azienda),  l’ Europa, che fino a poco tempo fa era il continente con il più alto numero di quotidiani gratuiti, ha registrato “il più grande calo” nella diffusione e nel numero delle testate in circolazione.

Lo annuncia Newspaper Innovation.

“Nel 2007 c’ erano 140 giornali, con una diffusion di 27 milioni di copie, nel 2010 sono scesi a 87, con una diffusione di 19,3 milioni di copie”, segnala il sito.
